On October 29 2019,in Jablanica was formally established regional public-private partnerships on the project “Joint Efforts for 5% Less Waste”. The main objective of the project is to establish an integrated waste management system in 6 municipalities through inter-municipal and regional cooperation between BiH and Montenegro.
Forty persons with disabilities in Bosnia and Herzegovina and Montenegro have received support for self-employment as beekeepers through an EU-funded project worth more than EUR 200,000. With a view to giving them the opportunity to start their own business and developing apiculture in the frontier areas between Bosnia and Herzegovina and Montenegro, the persons with disabilities were given honey bee colonies and hives, which was the first prerequisite for starting the business.
Regional workshop for the Joint Technical Secretariats of 9 IPA II cross-border programmes took place on 25 and 26 September 2019 in Becici, Montenegro. This event was organized by Cross-border Institution Building Plus (CBIB+) under the auspices of the European Commission.
