Cross Border Coworking Conference 2025 Kicks Off: Boka Bay Showcases Cooperation, Innovation, and European Values

The Cross Border Coworking Conference 2025 (CBCC) – the leading regional event dedicated to digital nomads, remote professionals, and coworking communities in the creative and digital economy – officially opened today in Herceg Novi, set against the authentic backdrop of Boka Bay, symbolically highlighting the spirit of cross-border cooperation and sustainable development.

This year’s edition of the conference is being held with the support of the European Union, within the project “Strengthening tourism offer in cross-border area through attracting digital nomads to the rural areas – STAR”, implemented through the IPA III Cross-border Cooperation Programme Bosnia and Herzegovina – Montenegro 2021–2027. The project aims to foster sustainable tourism, with a special focus on rural tourism, in order to position the cross-border region as an attractive destination for digital nomads.

Thanks to the financial support of the European Union, CBCC has become a key platform for advancing regional cooperation, knowledge exchange, and the promotion of new business models that connect technology, tourism, and the creative industries.

The conference was officially opened by:

Ms. Mladenka Tešić, Programme Manager, EU Delegation in Podgorica

Ms. Vanja Zoric Šundic, Executive Director Assistant, Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center Tehnopolis

Mr. Vedran Šimunović, Executive Director, INTERA Technology Park

Mr. Stevan Katić, Mayor of Herceg Novi

During the opening ceremony, it was emphasized that CBCC represents a shining example of successful European cooperation, which, through concrete initiatives and joint projects, strengthens the regional ecosystem of innovation, entrepreneurship, and sustainable growth.

The conference, taking place from October 14–17, offers a rich program – from keynotes by global experts Nora Dunn and Rowena Hennigan, to hands-on workshops and panels on AI marketing, building global teams, and integrating digital nomads. Special attention is given to cross-border initiatives and connecting coworking communities through pitch sessions, mindfulness workshops, networking activities, and an excursion to Kotor.

The conference is jointly organized by INTERA Technology Park (Mostar), Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center Tehnopolis (Nikšić), and the National Tourism Organisation of Montenegro, who are working together to promote the concept of sustainable tourism and position the region as an attractive destination for digital nomads and innovative professionals.
