Under the slogan “One Journey – A Thousand Stories,” the project “Tourism, Adrenaline and Rafting Adventure v.2 (T.A.R.A. V.2),” funded by the European Union, presented its authentic tourism offer at the 47th International Tourism Fair in Belgrade, held from February 19–22, 2026.
Participation in one of the most significant tourism events in the region represents part of a broader strategic initiative aimed at strengthening cross-border cooperation, enhancing the competitiveness of the tourism sector, and jointly promoting sustainable tourism products.
The joint appearance of the two municipalities demonstrated concrete results of institutional partnership between Bosnia and Herzegovina and Montenegro, confirming that cross-border cooperation contributes to the creation of a coherent and market-recognizable regional tourism offer.
Through the synergy of natural potential, cultural heritage, and local gastronomy, the area of Plužine and Foča is positioning itself as a unique active holiday destination in Southeast Europe. Participation in the Belgrade fair contributed to networking with tourism organizations, tour operators, and investors, as well as to further strengthening the international promotion of this cross-border destination.
The T.A.R.A. V.2 project is focused on the development of an integrated tourism destination based on natural resources, adventure tourism, historical and cultural heritage, and the principles of sustainable management.
A special focus of the project is placed on the development of sustainable and responsible tourism, the improvement of tourism infrastructure, the strengthening of local stakeholders’ capacities, and increasing the region’s visibility on the international market.
The project is funded by the European Union in Bosnia and Herzegovina through the IPA III Cross-Border Cooperation Programme Bosnia and Herzegovina – Montenegro, and is implemented by the Municipality of Plužine and the Municipality of Foča in cooperation with partners: the Piva Nature Park and the Foča Municipal Tourism Organization.
